Welcome!
Dear readers, friends and family, welcome to the next chapter.
This is the first blog of my business, which I have named Dan Cass & Company. We will have a startup party later this year and you will be expected to help launch the enterprise in person.
For now, I would value your feedback on this work in progress; leave me a comment below in this blog, send your suggestions in an email or phone me at work on (+61 3) 9016 4468.
I’ve never seen myself as a business man but this feels right.
Since my late teens I have had a great life as an activist. It has introduced me to some of the truest, most brilliant people I know. The situation now is dire and we must step up, as a movement, a society and as individuals.
There is clearly a rising green culture competing against the fossil-fueled status quo. We can see its outlines everywhere: art, design, fashion, community politics, science, technology, management, philosophy and literature.
I have decided to start a ‘boutique’ consultancy which uses cultural campaigning to build power for my clients, in addition to conventional strategy, lobbying and PR.
I plan to work with a small roster of quality clients who pay me a retainer to be their advisor.
The primary market for Dan Cass & Company is the clean energy (and energy conservation) sector. These firms are the engine of the new economy but mostly buy lobbying, PR, strategy and management consulting from the same professional services companies who maintain the dominance of the old economy.
I offer this site as an intelligent, safe place to share useful information and ideas, from art to zero-sum game theory. Please wander around and let me know what you think. Can you understand the business offering? What kind of events would you like to see on the calendar? What does the design say to you?
PS After I have got some feedback about the site I will make it visible to search engines.
מזל טוב mazel tov from the nice goy! An auspicious start on an auspicious day - Offering you my best wishes, support and networks

Wow: congratulations Dan. I love it, that is all.
Break a leg Dan. Quentin
Thank you Quentin, Michelle, Gareth & Kevin!
Kevin - the launch ritual should involve breaking bread and the seal of a bottle of something good. You are right, I need to explain my thinking - perhaps a page of aphorisms?
Sorry, comments are not available on this post.

I like the black and white, Dan. It has real clarity. And the navigation is so direct.
I wonder if you could add a few quotes from yourself, perhaps extracted from published articles. It would be great to get a sense of your point of view as well, certainly regarding strategy.
What's the correct ritual for launching a website?
Cheers anyway, Kevin
