Essential iPad accessories and KT Tunstall for the solar lobbyist

I use my iPad 2.0 to take detailed notes in meetings and get many questions about the keyboard and the case.

The case is the somewhat pretentiously named ‘C.E.O. Hybrid iPad 2 Case’ by Marware. You can see from their video how it works to prop the iPad up for reading or screen input.

My Apple wireless keyboard is the same one I use at home with my desktop computer.

The big tip for the traveling salesperson or solar lobbyist is to take a little bag with a 10 cent coin in your pocket, so when you put the keyboard in your wheelie bag you can first remove the rechargeable batteries (and put them in the bag, with the coin and battery chamber lid).

If you don’t remove the batteries, the keys on the keyboard will be pressed in transit and wake up your iPad.

This happened to me when I was in Treasury in Canberra; my iPad started playing KT Tunstall at full blast.

Hold on cos the world will turn if you’re ready or not

As far as lyrics go, it was pretty on-message for my lobbying work.
